A Little Red Lipstick Never Hurt Anyone

Some days you just put on red lipstick and you’re ready to conquer the world. Today was one of those days. I wanted a messy smokey eye and bronzed face to pull in a that summer vibe.

For the skin I applied the L’oreal True Match foundation in W3 with my beauty blender. This is one of the best drugstore foundations and perfect for daily wear. For concealer, I used the Maybelline Dream Lumi in Nude. This is another drugstore gem. I prefer it over the YSL Touche Eclat.

As for my eyebrows I used all Kelley Baker products. I have an updated Brow Tutorial on my channel if you want to see how I use them.

For my cheeks I used four products. Excessive? Maybe. Do I care? Nope. I lightly contoured with the Chanel Notorious Sculpting Powder and then diffused it with Mac Give Me Sun. For a blush I used the LE Skinfinish by Mac in Double Definition. This product gives me that JLO Glow and is a staple in my collection. Then for a highlight I used another holy grail product, Mac Whisper of Gilt

For my eyes I used all Mac eyeshadows. I applied Saddle in the crease for warmth, Mulch all over the lid, Amber lights in the inner corner and on the center of the lid, and Soft Brown to blend it all out. Mulch has subtle shimmer of gold and really brings out brown eyes.

And for the red lipstick. When wearing red, you never want to be the girl with it on her teeth or sliding down her chin so I first lined my lips with Mac Cherry lip liner. Then I used Mac RiRI Woo lipstick; it’s a little more blue than the famous Ruby Woo but I prefer RiRi Woo’s finish. It is a retro matte and much more comfortable on the lips.

I hope you enjoyed this look and stay tuned for tomorrow’s look!
